Winter's Beauty

This past week my family and I have been snowed in.  From minus temperatures to snow drifting in piles and freezing rain we are glad to be out of the house now that it is gone.  But as it came and went it brought some blustery winds full of snow which makes for beautiful white scenery! What's on your Christmas tree? Final

Adorning the top of our tree is an angel, beautiful and majestic she has been their for the passed few years.   The girls take turns putting her on last.   This year it was Emma's turn, she is finally able to do it without to much help.   As I said in earlier posts I just gave the box of ornaments to the girls and let them decide where each one was placed.  I think they did a fabulous job making sure the breakable ones were at the top and the cute ones were out front.  A must in the "Winton Crafty Household".
I have one ornament that I failed to mention in previous posts.  One I bought for my husband as a reminder of the fun times we've had and will experience in the future riding OUR motorcycle.

I say OURS because it was a question I asked him that spurred the whole thing on. "When are you going to buy a bike so I can ride on it?" I said.   Not many wives would ask such a question but  it was purely out of my own enjoyment we "get away" from life's distractions and spend some time together.  We have owned 3 bikes total and now settled on one, an YAMAHA FZ1,  the envy of most for it is beautiful, sleek, and incredibly FAST!  I won't be mentioning the numbers we have reached on the speedometer, not for the faint of heart.  I love to sit on the back and plan out my grocery list, make plans for up coming events, or just gaze at the beautiful scenery the northwest has to offer.
As I round up these tree posts I want you to think of the ornaments you place on your tree and why.  Do they remind you of things in your past or maybe the events you wish to come in the future.  Are you trendy and decorate your tree with what's "IN" or is their a meaning behind each one.  I challenge you to contemplate what is going on your tree next year.  Maybe a blue and silver snowflake tree, or one of priceless unmatched handmade ornaments that tell endless stories of the good times you've had.
